6th Annual I Run 4 a Sled Dog Event

Paws Support Network is getting back to the basics with the 6th Annual I Run 4 a Sled Dog by honoring the layout of the first events. This year we will be offering a 5k Run or 1 Mile Walk option.

I Run 4 a Sled Dog benefits Northern Lights Sled Dog Rescue, a non-profit organization that helps huskies, malamutes and other northern breed dogs get the care they need before finding their furever home. 100% of the proceeds from this event goes directly to them.

Join us at Prophetstown State Park in West Lafayette, IN on Saturday November 2nd. Choose between three participation options: 5K run, 1 Mile Walk, or the "Virtual" option that will allow you to participate from wherever you are.

Schedule:

• On-site registration will begin at 8:00am

• Run/Walk will start at 9:15am

Register by:

• Friday October 18th to receive: Event T-shirt, Free Entry into Prophetstown State Park & Goodie Bag
• Friday October 25th: Free Entry into Prophetstown State Park & Goodie Bag
• Friday November 1st or at the event: Goodie Bag

Please bring a printed & signed copy of your waiver form (found on our website or Facebook page), or get there early enough to fill one out at the event when you pick up your bib. Make sure you wear clothing appropriate for the weather. The event is scheduled for the end of October so dress in layers, and be prepared for any type of weather. Wear comfortable running/walking shoes as well.

This is a dog friendly event, so please bring your fur-companion(s) along if you would like to run or walk with them! All dogs must be on leash at all times and you are responsible for cleaning up after your dog(s). Pet waste bags will be provided. Please be aware that other dogs will be attending the event so we ask all our participants to be mindful & respectful to each other & the dogs.
